At Aveno, protecting quality is everything. It all starts with the careful selection of our suppliers of raw materials, resulting in the delivery of only the highest quality oils and fats. Even the smallest fractions of ingredients used in our margarines are closely monitored. Because quality in = quality out.
Our high standards carry through during production. Our 27 tanks each dedicated to their own raw materials, reducing the risk of contamination. More R&D and quality checks are done in our in-house laboratory. The new solutions and tailor made blends for our industrial clients are carefully developed and their results are monitored.
What's more, Aveno is certified by the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety. In our production environment the highest standards are applied, while taking care of the working staff (training, protection and hygiene).
Aveno cares for the environment
We truly care about the environment. The roof of our facility is completely covered with solar panels, making it possible to run 70% on green energy and keep CO2 emissions low. We do not heat water. By cooling down machines with heat exchangers, 'free' hot water is recuperated.
Our products are transported by trucks adhering to the EURO 6 emission standards. We work through lean logistics, which means that the tanks of our vehicles are filled up as much as possible. As a result, logistic costs are lowered, as well as the amount of trucks on the road.
The crops we use are grown in a sustainable way, on their natural pace. We work with farmers that don't use pesticides or herbicides. We pride ourself on being a member of the Roundtable for Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). They rebuild forest that made way for palm oil plantations. In doing so, Aveno does not only strive to deliver quality lipid solutions, but contributes to a sustainable industry by reducing the impact on nature.
